Saturday Night Jazz & Sunday Sessions

Out on the town this weekend? Stay and play a while during our 2nd Saturday Nights. Chicago jazz trio Brooklyn Britches and the Whispers perform from 9:30 p.m. to midnight on the second Saturday of every month. Grab a drink at the bar or stick around if you’re already dining with us and see how we do late nights in the Loop.

If you can’t make it out to our 2nd Saturday Nights with Brooklyn Britches and the Whispers, you can catch the band during our Sunday Sessions brunch. They’re here from noon to 2 p.m. every Sunday. Shrimp ‘n’ grits and soulful riffs—what more could you want?

Oyster Fest is Coming!

One of our favorite weekends is almost here. We’re talking Oyster Fest—our 4th annual! Block out your calendars now for Friday, Sept. 20 through Sunday, Sept. 22.

We’ll have $1 oysters on Friday (while supplies last), plus live music and Guinness pint-glass engraving all weekend—with plenty of Guinness, of course. Chef Aaron’s Fried Oyster Po’boy, one of several seafood specials, is not to be missed. And you’ll have a chance to win a gorgeous cultured pearl necklace from our friends in the Loop, Chicago’s Diamond Consultants. We hope you’ll join us!

Chef Aaron Slayed the Flay

In case you didn’t hear, our own Chef Aaron Cuschieri beat Bobby Flay in an epic Food Network battle that aired on June 20.

“Winning on ‘Beat Bobby Flay’ was a very motivating and inspiring moment for me,” says Chef. "I can attribute it to two main reasons. First, I know who I am, and I know what I fight for, and I do believe that that single phrase makes all the difference in what anyone can accomplish in life. And second: I was prepared. I knew what I had to do and I worked it on, I practiced over and over, I watched the show and I studied up on Bobby Flay so that when I competed, whether I won or lost, I was happy with what I did. And I happened to win.”

Congratulations to Chef Aaron and a huge thanks to all of you who came to our viewing party to cheer him on. We raised over $1,800 for Meals on Wheels that night and we couldn’t have done it without you.

Now come in, say hi and try some of his winning Fish & Chips!
